I believe in kindness. The sweetest thoughts that remain consistent even though life can bring sorrow. I believe that things happen for a reason and in the things that I’ll never be able to make sense of. I believe in breakthroughs. That whatever it is you’re going through, you can keep going. I believe in miracles.
I believe in art. The millions of creative souls that walk this earth who invest their time and their talents in making it a more beautiful place to be. I believe in choosing one thing in your life to put your whole heart into. I believe in writing. Capturing moments in your mind and writing them down because they too often slip away. I believe in stories, in memories, in a dream coming true.
I believe in coffee. The darker the roast, the better. I believe in healthy living. In whole foods that make my body stronger and my smile brighter. I believe in exercise. In moving my body each day even if it’s just for a few minutes. I believe in loving what God has given me and being thankful for it every single day. I believe in gratitude.
I believe in nature. Mother Earth and her never-ending ability to make me happy. The places she provides me with where there are no roads and no lights. Only the deepest of woods that I find myself hiking over and over and over. Where I walk, I run, I reflect, I stretch, and I rest and it never ever feels the same.
I believe in opportunities. In having a dream and going after it.
I believe that love can come alive in seconds. Where the moment he touches your hand is the exact moment you realize there is nothing in life quite like it. Where sunsets become slower, where dancing can exist with no music at all, and where your heart feels more at home than ever.
I believe in healing. You will heal and I have confidence in this.
I believe that a dog just might be the best medicine your soul will find.
I believe that each day is new. From the moment you wake you and every other person in this world are given a choice. You can live this day or you can lose it. Let the people you connect with today be your teachers. Let the words you hear be exactly what you need to hear in that moment. And allow yourself for just this once, to believe that the day in front of you is completely worth trusting in.
